The maritime regions of Québec are four tourism regions in Eastern Québec, Canada: Bas-Saint-Laurent, Gaspésie, Côte-Nord and the Îles de la Madeleine. Although very different from each other, these regions are united by the sea and a common maritime tradition.

For birders and wildlife enthusiasts, spring is also the ideal time to visit the maritime regions of Québec, since this is the season for observing migratory birds and welcoming back whales that spent the winter elsewhere. Spring is a time of renewal, when everything looks fresh and beautiful. Come and fill your lungs with fresh sea air!

Summer means warm weather and an abundance of activities. This time of year is ideal for outings in national parks, whale watching, sea excursions and visiting heritage sites. You can also just take it easy and enjoy quiet strolls along the many beaches and shores in our regions during your vacation in Canada. Do you prefer mountains? The Appalachians in Gaspésie and the Groulx Mountains in Côte-Nord will enchant you with their peaks over 1000 metres (3300 feet) high.

In our regions, the changing hues of the tideland grasses are an unmistakable sign that fall has arrived. The air is crisp and invigorating, and the leaves gradually turn bright yellow, orange and red. This is a great time of year for hiking, cycling or visiting national parks.
