Located in Gaspésie in an exceptional natural environment where sea meets mountains, Cap Aventure offers wildlife observation activities, including sea kayaking with seals and whale-watching Zodiac cruises in one of the best places to see whales in Québec. Cap Aventure has adopted an educational approach and promotes sustainable observation techniques.
Sea kayaking
Departing from the Grande-Grave historic site in Forillon National Park or the Cap-aux-Os Beach, enjoy a unique guided sea kayaking excursion in complete safety while respecting the ecological integrity of this area’s natural heritage.
Accessible even to beginners, this 3-hour outing takes participants to a colony of grey and harbour seals, which will give you the opportunity to observe these playful animals and spend unforgettable moments with them.
Certified interpreter guides will introduce you to the basics of sea kayaking. You will also be provided with all the equipment you need, including a waterproof bag for your personal effects.
Whale-watching Zodiac cruises
Cap Aventure offers Zodiac cruises to observe whales, seals, cliffs and seabirds in a comfortable 12-passenger Zodiac, accompanied by a captain who is also a certified interpreter guide. These cruises depart from the Gaspé marina.
Seven species of whales are regularly found in the waters of the St. Lawrence in this area.
Excursions are approximately 3 hours long and will introduce you to the wonders of the Forillon Peninsula and the surrounding marine environment, from the sea. Come and observe whales as well as hundreds of seals and spend unforgettable moments with these amazing animals. This unique experience will give you the opportunity to discover the eastern tip of the Gaspé Peninsula.
Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP)
Cap Aventure offers guided stand-up paddleboarding excursions departing from Penouille Beach, in Forillon National Park, to admire colourful sunsets. Seals will often surprise participants by popping their heads out of the water!
