The Musée Acadien du Québec is a public space offering numerous cultural and educational activities to introduce visitors to Québec’s rich Acadian heritage.
First and foremost, the museum recounts the fascinating and moving story of the Acadians of Québec in a permanent exhibition entitled A Québec Acadia. One million Québec residents are Acadian in origin and three million have at least one Acadian ancestor.
The museum offers a variety of cultural activities from June to September, including temporary exhibitions, musical evenings and talks. In addition, the museum celebrates National Acadian Day on August 15. Several family-friendly activities are offered to mark this symbolic day.
The site houses several gift shops, which offer a range of local products, including arts and crafts and souvenirs. Bilingual services are available as are guided tours during the tourist season.
Enjoy discovering the Acadian culture of Québec!
