Trail permits
For information about trail permits or to purchase your permit online, visit the Fédération des clubs de motoneigistes du Québec (FMCQ) website.
Regulations
What you need before leaving:
- FCMQ trail permit
- Snowmobile registration certificate
- Driver's licence (to cross public roads)
- Proof of liability insurance with minimum coverage of $500,000 (included in FCMQ trail permit) as well as life and personal accident insurance
- Proof of age
- Rental contract (if the snowmobile is rented)
- Competence certificate (for 16- and 17-year-old snowmobilers)
