The annual Boréal Loppet is the longest cross-country ski race held in the province of Québec. Elite skiers race on a scenic and challenging 48-km (30-mi.) course. Whether they compete alone or in groups, these athletes have eight hours to finish the race. Less experienced skiers can race on a 32-km (20-mi.) course, while the general public can join in on the fun by participating in the 7-km (4-mi.), 10 km (6-mi.) and 16-km (10-mi.) races open to skiers of all ages. Families with young children can enjoy the 1.7-km (1-mi.) and 3.4-km (2-mi.) races. Other family activities are also offered on site and elsewhere in Forestville.
