Take advantage of the cold season to enjoy a unique and unforgettable experience in the Îles de la Madeleine. Starting in late February, hundreds of thousands of harp seals migrate to the ice surrounding the archipelago to whelp their young. During a two- to three-week period, you can observe adult seals and their newborn pups in their natural habitat: a spectacular landscape of snow and ice brought to life by the presence of an immense herd of seals on a territory that extends as far as the eye can see!
Château Madelinot offers various packages, including a seal-watching package that includes a stay in one of 120 renovated rooms or suites with a view of the sea and a helicopter excursion to the ice to see the seals, a truly unique winter experience!
Recent climate change has led us to reconsider how to best continue offering this winter experience for which we have been known worldwide for nearly 40 years. Our goal remains the same: to give visitors the opportunity to experience an unusual winter adventure in the Îles de la Madeleine archipelago.
In addition to seal watching, a stay at Château Madelinot in the winter is an opportunity to soak up beautiful scenery and enjoy a wide variety of other activities.
