Distillerie des Marigots

The Distillerie des Marigots is perched high on a cliff in Caplan, in an incredible site overlooking Chaleur Bay. Housed in an architecturally sophisticated solid wood building with large windows, the distillery offers visitors the opportunity to observe the distillation process and admire views of the sea.

The building and facilities were specifically designed to welcome visitors and provide them with an extraordinary experience. We want to meet you and offer you a glimpse into how we go about crafting our unique spirits.

The spirits produced by the Distillerie des Marigots offer outstanding quality and rich and refined flavours, typical of this region. Distilled in a copper pot still heated over an open flame, with the greatest respect for traditional methods, our spirits reflect our interpretation of the art of distillation, which combines creativity and innovation.

The master distiller at the Distillerie des Marigots finds inspiration for the creation of his spirits in the surrounding countryside and takes great care to bring out the exceptional qualities of the locally grown or harvested ingredients he uses. His approach brings to the forefront all the aromas and flavours available in this environment. He then lets the seaside atmosphere influence the crafting of his spirits, which are produced in small batches.

When you purchase a product from our distillery, you hold in your hands a piece of Gaspésie: an outstanding spirit with a hint of the exotic that brims with authenticity. When tasting it, you will be reminded of the warmth and purity of your trip to the Gaspé Peninsula.

We offer guided tours of our facilities (reservations required), a boutique and a tasting room.
