Ferme Bourdages Tradition is a family business that has been farming the same land for seven generations. Going from subsistence to dairy to beef farming and finally to vegetable and fruit growing, Ferme Bourdages Tradition has become one of the largest farms in Gaspésie over the years. We are currently the largest producers of strawberries and sweet corn in Gaspésie. We employ 50 people year-round and up to 120 during strawberry-picking season.
In addition to delicious strawberries and fresh vegetables, we also offer tasty homemade products (which we have been making for the past 20 years): pies, pates, pastries, bread, jams, coulis, etc.
In the early 2000s, the farm began to produce alcoholic beverages with its strawberries. Several years later, we are proud to offer our unique strawberry wines and liqueurs named after Bourdages ancestors:
- the Julia, a semi-dry strawberry rosé (11% alcohol)
- the Alexis, an after-dinner strawberry liqueur served on ice (17.2% alcohol)
- the François, a port-style strawberry liqueur fortified with cognac (16% alcohol)
To learn more about how we make our strawberry wines and liqueurs, come and visit our fermentation cellar and magnificent wine cellar decorated by local artisans. You can also visit our strawberry fields overlooking the sea and pick your own strawberries and raspberries (in season).
