La Haute-Gaspésie is now recognized as a prime winter tourism destination. Nearby activities that will make you want to visit this area include backcountry skiing, snowmobiling, winter hiking and more!
Backcountry skiing is an increasingly popular winter activity, and several private companies offer guide services in the mountains for all levels. The Chic-Chocs are a powder paradise providing no shortage of options to backcountry ski enthusiasts!
Backcountry snowmobiling is also very popular. Trans-Québec trail #5 passes very close to the Panora site. You can reach your lodge by snowmobile by taking trail L (600) to the Gaz Bar Mario Jean Esso gas station in Tourelle. From there, you are 1.4 km (less than a mile) from Panora.
In addition, nearby Parc national de la Gaspésie offers many winter hiking and snowshoeing trails to discover.
No matter what brings you to Gaspésie this winter, choose the comfort of a Panora seaside lodge. The nearby icy St. Lawrence is a particularly spectacular sight to behold at this time of year! A boot dryer, fondue pot and private hot tub are just a few of the winter amenities offered with each lodge.
Please note that the Panora site is accessible via a steep slope. Although it is well cleared, we strongly recommend driving a vehicle with winter tires in good condition, ideally with 4-wheel drive.
