Mytik Shack-Sucré is a maple syrup producer and holiday site located in the mountains in Saint-René-de-Matane, in the region of Gaspésie. The owners operate a sugar shack with 7,000 taps and produce organic maple products available on site and online.
To visit the sugar shack in season or during the off-season, please call 418-556-4662 or contact us via social media. Visitors will have the opportunities to learn about maple syrup production, tour the facilities and sample some of the sugar shack’s products. In the spring, Mytic Shack-Sucré offers sugaring-off parties that are open to the public. (Note that the sugar shack is accessible only in a 4-wheel-drive vehicle.) Admission fees are adjusted annually, based on group reservations.
You can also enjoy going for a hike on the trails in the maple grove or on the mountainside. Soak up views of the valley in Saint-René-de-Matane, the Matane River, a covered bridge, fields and wind turbines.

How to get there
From Matane or Amqui, take Route 195 from Route 132. Turn onto Route de la Montagne in Ruisseau-Gagnon (a village in the municipality of Saint-René-de-Matane). Mytik Shack-Sucré is about 2.5 km (1.5 mi.) past the covered bridge, on your right.
