Mytik Shack-Sucré is a maple syrup producer and holiday site located in the mountains in Saint-René-de-Matane, in the region of Gaspésie. The owners operate a sugar shack with 7,000 taps and produce organic maple products available on site and online.

Mytik Shack-Sucré is near the Matane River, which is renowned for salmon fishing, as well as the Réserve faunique de Matane. The International Appalachian Trail runs through this wildlife reserve, which makes it a great place for day hikes as well as trout fishing and wildlife observation.
In addition, the maple grove is only 15 minutes from the town of Matane, where you can enjoy a multitude of activities as well as discover magnificent beaches that are accessible free of charge. Protected from the cool breezes blowing off the St. Lawrence, this area enjoys a microclimate year-round, with pleasant summer weather, the blazing colours of the maple trees in the fall, and much more snow in the winter than along the coast.

How to get there
From Matane or Amqui, take Route 195 from Route 132. Turn onto Route de la Montagne in Ruisseau-Gagnon (a village in the municipality of Saint-René-de-Matane). Mytik Shack-Sucré is about 2.5 km (1.5 mi.) past the covered bridge, on your right.
